In 1985, the former Department of textile engineering was established, and the clothing teaching and research section was set up.
In 1994, the former Department of textile engineering was divided into the teaching and research section of clothing engineering and the teaching and research section of clothing design.
In July 1996, the Department of clothing was established, which has the jurisdiction of the teaching and research section of clothing engineering and the teaching and Research Office of fashion design. In October 1999, the art department was set up in part.
In 2003, Asia Pacific International Institute was established.
In 2004, the Institute of Clothing and Art was established, and the Department of Clothing and Art was merged. At the same time, Zhongyuan Fashion Culture and Art Desgin Center was established, relying on the construction of Clothing and Art Institute.
In December 2008, the Institute of Clothing was established, and the Department of Cothing was separated from the Institute of Fashion and Art. Asia Pacific International Institute is under the leadership of the Institute of Fashion with one team and two teams. 2. Professional development of the Institute of Clothing
The clothing engineering major was first enrolled in 1985. It is an engineering specialty with a three-year educational system. It enrolls 22 day students in Henan Province. Since 1986, the major of clothing engineering has been recruiting students from all over the country. In 1995, the four-year undergraduate program of fashion design and engineering was recruited nationwide, and the enrollment of specialty was suspended in the same year.
Fashion design major was first enrolled in 1992, art class, level for junior Institue, two-year schooling, national enrollment. In 1999, it stopped enrolling junior Institue students. In 1997, the whole country began to recruit four-year undergraduate students majoring in fashion art design. In 1999, we enrolled four-year undergraduate students majoring in art design (fashion art design direction). In addition, in 2002, Asia Pacific International Institue began to recruit four-year undergraduate students in the direction of fashion art design. At present, the undergraduate major of fashion design is renamed "clothing and fashion design".
The major of fashion design and performance was first enrolled in 1994. It is an art major with a two-year educational system and is enrolled nationwide. In 1998, the four-year undergraduate program of art design major (fashion design and performance direction) was enrolled nationwide, and the enrollment of specialty was stopped in the same year. Now the undergraduate major is renamed "performance (fashion performance and marketing)".
Art design major (image art design direction) was recruited for the first time in 2004. It is an art major with a four-year education system and is enrolled nationwide. Enrollment stopped in 2009.
Product design major. In 2011, the product design direction was divided from the undergraduate major of clothing and apparel design of Asia Pacific International Institue. In 2015, it was the first time to recruit students nationwide under the name of product design major. It is an art major with a four-year educational system.
3.The historical changes of Institue and department leaders in Fashion Institute
(1)The predecessor of clothing department.
The clothing teaching and research section of the Department of textile was established in 1985. The first person in charge was Peng Jingrong, deputy director (presided over the work) of teaching and research section from 1985 to 1987; the second person in charge was Luo Bainian and deputy director Peng Jingrong from 1988 to 1990; the third person in charge was Wang Gang, the director of teaching and research section from 1991 to 1993, Peng Jingrong, deputy director (changed to director of laboratory in 1993), and assistant LV Xudong (deputy director in 1993); the fourth person in charge, 1994 From 1996 to 1996, Lu Xudong, director of the teaching and Research Office of fashion engineering, deputy directors Wu Jun and Hu Luoyan, director of fashion design department Wang Gang, deputy director Yuan Lu, and laboratory director Wang Xuemei.

(4)The Institute of fashion was established in December 2008, which is separated from the Institue of fashion and art by the Department of clothing. The first director of the Institue, From December 2008 to March 2013, Hu Luoyan, President of the Institute of fashion, President of Asia Pacific International Institue and Secretary of the general Party branch, department level researcher Che leijin (retired in 2012), Li Xiaolu, director and vice president of Zhongyuan clothing culture and art design center, Liu Zhe, vice president and director of fashion design and Engineering Department (vice president appointed in 2009), and Tuo Wu (20 Liu Wei, deputy secretary of the general Party branch, was appointed in 2009.
The second person in charge of the Institue has been Liu rangtong, President of the Institute of fashion and President of Asia Pacific International Institue, Li Xiaolu, director and vice president of Zhongyuan clothing culture and art design center, Liu Zhe, deputy president, Tuo Wu, Secretary of the general Party branch, LV Xudong, and LV Jidong, deputy secretary of the general Party branch (appointed in 2014).
4.Current situation of Institues and departments
